We also work closely with partners in Australia and North America. Our teams and partners are: Online and Web![]() Andrew ArchAndrew is a world-renowned expert in accessible web design. Through the W3C, Andrew works with colleagues around the world in promoting web accessibility and is an active member of the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative's Education & Outreach Working Group. In Australia, Andrew provides strategic and technical consultancy and training in design of accessible online services. ![]() Sofia CelicSofia is a web accessibility consultant with extensive public and private sector experience. In addition to the consultancy aspect of her work, she undertakes research projects and presents to interested groups. Research projects have included accessibility techniques for Flash movies and the use of acronyms & abbreviations on the web with assistive technologies. Presentations have included lectures to web development students and seminars to universities and technical writing groups. Sofia is particularly interested in the design and usability aspects (as apart from the technical aspect) of accessible information on the web for people using assistive technologies. Sofia is also a member of the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Working Group. ![]() Steve FaulknerSteve has many years experience as a web developer and accessibility consultant. As well as his ongoing consulting work, he presents & runs workshops at conferences, and gives guest lectures at universities on the practical implementation of web accessibility. He is also leading the development of Web Accessibility testing software in collaboration with organizations and individuals from around the world. Steve is also an active member of the Web Standards Group. ![]() Brian HardyBachelor of Arts (Hons) Brian established the web accessibility consultancy service and has been working on access to information issues for more than 5 years. He has provided strategic consultancy services on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) accessibility for governments and major corporations throughout Australia and internationally. His particular interest is in how accessible design can enhance ICT products and services for all users. ![]() Tania ConlanCertificate in Multimedia Tania organises registrations for the Web Accessibility Workshops offered around Australia and looks after the content of the AIS website and the websites we manage on behalf of NILS and Vision Australia Foundation Print Alternative Formats![]() Tony ClarkBSc(Hons), MA Org. Comm. Tony has consulted with major corporations and government agencies in developing accessibility solutions. His clients include Telstra, Health Insurance Commission and Department of Family and Community Services. Tony is also working closely with electoral commissions around Australia on strategies to ensure that everyone is able to vote with privacy and dignity. ![]() Jay RichardsDiploma in Business Management Jay's experience in business development began in Chicago and was forged in the financial markets where he presented seminars, provided training and consulted. He has a genuine desire to improve the well being of others by identifying their needs and providing solutions that meet and exceed their expectations. Jay works with our customers in NSW and Queensland. Jay also has particular responsibility for the Financial Services industry and Local Government sector around Australia. Ann Harrison![]() Ann has been working with Royal Blind Society, and now NILS, for a number of years. Ann assists with project management and general enquiries. Suzanna Bihacsi![]() (Currently studying) Diploma in Accounting Suzanna has been with Royal Blind Society, and now NILS for over 5 years.
She coordinates the production side of alternative format projects from
order to despatch, ensuring a quality product is delivered every time.
Suzanna has worked on large alternative projects such as Olympic
information, GST information, Federal election and most recently the Margaret Campion![]() Bachelor of Education Margaret has over seven years experience in the area of devising Accessible Information solutions for the needs of people who cannot easily access print. As an account manager with Vision Australia, now NILS, she has co-ordinated radio, Braille, large print and audio services for clients such as local government, state and federal government, corporate clients and not-for-profit organisations. Margaret has experience in council, state and federal election projects. Joelle Nina![]() Joelle is a graphic designer. Joelle helps ensure that communication in alternative formats meets the same high visual production standards as the print communication product. Brian HardyBrian has worked with Commonwealth and State governments for more than 25 years, focussing particularly in services for older people, employment services, and services for people with disabilities.
