Outline
Focused on enhancing the usability and accessibility of your web content, this hands-on
workshop will teach you how to improve your content and communicate
effectively with your readers.
Writing for the Web is aimed at anyone who produces, maintains or
approves content
for the web, including writers, editors, administrative and secretarial
staff, website managers and web-content managers.
Overview
Writing for the Web is a full day workshop that covers:
- The importance of web content
- Understanding how people read and interact with content
on the web
- The foundations of good content
- Key strategies for writing web content
- Techniques for micro-content and longer documents
A series of exercises form part of the workshop. To get the most out of
the course
participants need to bring sample content from their website:
- 3-6 short to medium length pages (a few screens); do not bring home pages or pages
whose primary
purpose is navigation
- 1-2 longer pages (policies, procedures, process documents, reports, etc.)
A printed 100+ page booklet of course notes, resources and exercises is provided.

was worth
my time because I can utilise it!"

of why
the course was useful and interesting."
